In August of 2019 I wrote a song during a trying season about the faithfulness and providence of God.
Since August of 2019 I have talked about recording said song to put it out for people to hear and hopefully relate to, be touched by.
It is now, in the midst of a chaotic and uncertain world that I decided (at 11pm at night) that enough was enough. I sat on my bed and recorded this six minute song on my new ukulele.
God, creator of this entire earth, has walked before us and He is for us. He saw this coming and He isn't afraid or surprised because "perfect love drives out fear" 1 John 4:18.
And the man, God emptied, Jesus Christ, IS love embodied.
He is here for our doubts and our cries of confusion and our questions because He just wants to hold us close and love us.
My prayer is if you are sitting in fear and anxiety that this song would bring you peace.
If you are weighed down by the heaviness of the world at this present time, I pray this song would lift a mountain off your shoulders.
If you are down-trodden, and heavy laden, I pray this song brings you joy and assurance in the hope of the savior I'm singing about.
He is light when I can't see light
He's solid ground when I'm drowning in days ahead
He is steadfast and He promised to never change
He is fierce and His victory I live from
When I'm too human
His body has taken my grave
And His Son has taken my place
He is too real to not be real
He is too good to not be good
He's too wonderful too glorious
He is too good to be anything but good
He is peace in waves crashing over my head
He is life in a tomb full of empty faith
He is King on His climb up to cavalry
Where He hung naked on my tree
He is too real to not be real
He is too good to be anything but good
He's too wonderful too glorious
He is too real to be anything but real
I know You are for me
So God be for me
Please go before me
I know You are good
He is too real to not be real
He is too good to be anything but good
He's too wonderful too glorious
He is too real to be anything but real

Art doesn't have to be perfect in order to be shared with the world. In fact, the world needs your imperfect art.
